Burnley is set for an exciting year ahead with Burnley Business Improvement District (BID) announcing the return of three flagship events in 2026, featuring everything from live music and classic cars to festive family fun.
Taking place from spring through to winter, the town will see the return of Burnley Live, the Burnley Vintage & Performance Car Show and Burnley Believes, bringing fun-filled family days out and fantastic live music experiences to the heart of the town.
Burnley Live – 1st – 4th May 2026
Burnley Live, the town’s free annual music festival, will return from 1st – 4th May 2026 and is set to be the biggest and boldest edition yet. With an expanded event site, more live acts and exciting collaborations with local businesses, the festival will once again transform the town into a vibrant destination for live music, with pop-up stages and musicians performing throughout the town.
Burnley Vintage & Performance Car Show – Saturday 12th September 2026
Engines will be revving in anticipation for the Burnley Vintage & Performance Car Show, returning on Saturday 12thSeptember 2026. Supported by The Rotary Club, this high-octane event showcases an impressive collection of classic, vintage and modern cars, attracting enthusiasts of all ages. Alongside the automotive displays, families can enjoy live music, interactive trails and character meet-and-greets, making it a fun day of free entertainment in the heart of Burnley.
Burnley Believes: Christmas Lights Switch On – Saturday 14th November 2026
The festive season officially begins with Burnley Believes, which is set to return on Saturday 14th November 2026. This popular Christmas Lights Switch On event features a magical lantern parade, live music and plenty of free family-friendly activities throughout the day.
