Join food historian and archaeologist Emma Kay for a culinary journey back in time, tracing the origins of some of Lancashire’s most treasured and sometimes unusually named, dishes!
From Vimto and Jelly Babies to Chorley Cakes and Hotpot there is lots to discover in the regional fare and dishes that have characterised Lancashire over the years. This mouthwatering talk will pick out some of the fascinating stories that contribute to Lancashire’s food and drink history. As an extra treat you can try a few handmade local Lancashire treats and have a glass of Vimto at the end!
Emma Kay’s book ‘Foots, Lonks & Wet Nellies Lancashire’s Food and Drink’ will also be on sale, and she will be happy to sign a copy for you.
