The Love Your Liver roadshow events is in Burnley on Saturday 10th February 2024 at on Town Square, St James Street.
Love Your Liver tour different locations across the country giving people the opportunity to take their liver health screener. The screener assesses the potential for liver damage. At-risk individuals are then offered the opportunity of a non-invasive ultrasound (called a FibroScan) check, and if the scan gives an indication of liver damage, then the individual is advised to visit their GP for further advice.
Love Your Liver work in conjunction with clinicians from the local hospital at each location – these healthcare professionals carry out the FibroScan.
Many of the people they meet at the events are unaware of the causes of liver disease, and so the educational aspect of the roadshow is very much aimed at enabling people to make changes to their lifestyle and hopefully improving their liver health.
