The film will be approx. 75 minutes and includes extracts from the films listed below. They capture a varied history of the different towns throughout the years, and includes extracts from 3 mini-documentaries, never shown before by the NWFA, by the Workers’ Film Association made in collaboration with local community groups, from 2009/2010.

The North West Film Archive is part of Manchester Metropolitan University and holds over 60,000 amateur and professional films from the region. These date from 1890 to the present day and include cinema newsreels, documentaries and home movies on a wide range of subjects.
The screening will be captioned.
