The first in a new series of concerts will be given by organist, David Thornton.
Refreshments are served from 10.30a.m. and are included in the admission charge of £7. Free admission for U18s.

David Thornton was born and raised in Burnley where he first learned piano with Mary Hartley.
He was a pupil at Burnley Grammar School where he began organ lessons with John Smith whom he also assisted in the organ loft at Burnley Parish Church. He was appointed organist of his local church, St. John’s Worsthorne at the age of 12.
David went on to study the organ at Lincoln Cathedral during the mid ‘70s where he was the Cathedral’s first organ scholar, studying with Dr Philip Marshall and Roger Bryan. During this time he gained his ARCM and LRAM diplomas, and was a RSM Gold Medallist.
Upon graduating David was appointed to the post of Head of Music at Ashton-in-Makerfield Grammar School, which later became The Byrchall High School; a post which he held for over 30 years.
Since taking early retirement from teaching he has passed both the ARCO and FRCO diplomas.
Until recently David has been Director of Music at St Mary Magdalene, the Parish Church of Clitheroe.
He has been involved in many continental Organ Study Tours, visiting famous and historic instruments in France, Germany and the Netherlands.
