Aysha Yilmaz is a fine artist and textile designer with a deep passion for fibres, textures, and the stories they can tell. From an early age, Yilmaz was captivated by the creative potential of materials, spending countless hours experimenting with fabric, colours, and patterns. This love for textiles led her to study Textile Design at the University of Bolton, where she honed her skills and developed a solid foundation in both traditional and innovative techniques.
Since completing her studies, she has built a multifaceted career; leading arts and crafts workshops, sharing her knowledge and inspiring others, while also dedicating time to her personal practice.
Workshop:
Inspired by Yilmaz’s current work about coral reefs, we will create an underwater felted piece exploring corals and sea creatures. This raises awareness of protecting our oceans and the devastating effect of global warming on coral reefs.
Materials and equipment will be provided.
The workshop listed is FREE! To find out more information and to book a place, please contact Bev Lamey on [email protected]
