The event, which takes place on Wednesday 18 February from 11am, brings together local groups, volunteers and organisations who have been working quietly behind the scenes to make improvements across the neighbourhood. Organisers hope the day will give people the chance to get involved, meet others and see what’s happening in their area.
One of the projects running on the day will see Calico’s Going Green Team planting new trees along Rossendale Road, supported by Burnley Council. The planting, which will start at 10:00, is part of ongoing efforts to improve local green spaces and create natural barriers in places where customers have reported nuisance from bikes and quads. Anyone who wants to help out is welcome to join in.
