DESCRIPTION:EIRA LYNN JONES HARPIST\n\nAcclaimed Welsh harpist Eira Lynn Jo
 nes combines the three strands of her\n\nillustrious career as performer\,
  teacher and composer.\n\nHer harp adventures have taken her all over the 
 world: to the Hollywood\n\nBowl\; a Recital in Reykjavik\, Iceland for the
  Nordic Watercolour Society\;\n\nplaying for the then HRH Prince Charles i
 n Spain and tours to Japan\, Hong\n\nKong and USA.\n\nShe regularly works 
 with the Hallé\, BBC Philharmonic and Opera North.\n\nMore eclectic engag
 ements include: recording with the Black Dyke Brass\n\nBand and the heavy 
 metal band Venom\; accompanying Aled Jones on\n\nSongs of Praise\; directi
 ng 20 harps under Dippy the Dinosaur at London’s\n\nNatural History Muse
 um\; appearing as harpist Lucinda Jane Gray in two\n\nepisodes of Coronati
 on Street.\n\nCollaborating with composer Martin Ellerby has resulted in a
  series of\n\nrecordings: Three Choral Psalms with Kantos Chamber Choir\, 
 Concerto\n\nfor Clarinet\, Harp and Strings with the Royal Liverpool Philh
 armonic\n\nOrchestra and a new CD of harp music\, Voyages.\n\nWidely recog
 nised as one of the UK’s leading harp teachers\, she was Head\n\nof Harp
  at the Royal Northern College of Music for nearly 30 years. She has\n\ngi
 ven masterclasses in South Africa\, USA\, Iceland\, Denmark\, Sweden and\n
 \nGreece.\n\nAs a composer\, she is inspired by the stories around her\, f
 rom medieval\n\ntales to contemporary events. She was selected as composer
  for Illumine\n\nTheatre’s audio drama Tremolo. Working with the multi a
 ward-winning\n\ndance company DanceSyndrome\, whose members have Down’s 
 Syndrome\,\n\nresulted in a performance of her Sunken Forest Suite.\n\nEir
 a's programme at St Peter's includes works by Britten\, Gershwin\, \n\nBe
 rnard Andrés and Martin Ellerby.\n\nAdmission is £7 (free for U18s) whic
