SUMMARY:Open writers Night.
DESCRIPTION:Our Local Writers Night\, ran in partnership with Burnley Words
Festival\, is a warm\, welcoming evening of live writing\, open to both p
erformers and audiences.\n\nAcross the night\, writers share short reading
s of poetry\, spoken word and prose\, with each performer taking the stage
for around five minutes. The event is fast-paced\, varied and supportive\
, making it just as enjoyable to watch as it is to take part.\n\nWant to p
erform?Performance slots are booked in advance via a simple sign-up form.
We aim to make space for as many people as possible\, and everyone gets an
equal slot on the night. Whether it’s your first time reading in public
or you’re an experienced writer trying out new work\, you’re very wel
come.\n\nSpaces can fill up\, so a waiting list may operate\, and performe
rs are usually confirmed around two weeks before the event.\n\nApply to pe
rform here: https://forms.gle/P7URKCQAuMGeScPu8\n\nJust want to come alon
g?You don’t have to be a writer to attend. Many people come simply to li
sten\, support friends\, or enjoy an evening of live writing in a relaxed
atmosphere. You’re very welcome to come on your own\, and we encourage a
udiences to stay for the whole night so every reader has the same supporti
ve crowd.\n\nTickets are Pay What You Decide. Please book a ticket in adv
ance. You can reserve a free ticket and pay on the night\, or donate in ad
vance if you’d prefer.\n\nTickets: £7 or Pay What You Decide on the Day
