SUMMARY:Cyanotyping and photo montage workshop
DESCRIPTION:Come along and attend this FREE workshop of Cyanotyping and pho
 to montage. This event is a small participant based workshop.\n\nA cyanoty
 pe is a printing formulation sensitive to ultraviolet light. It produces a
  cyan-blue print. The cyanotype is a Victorian based photographic process.
 \nThis workshop will allow you to experiment with objects and acetates to 
 produce beautiful cyan blue prints on a multitude of substrates.\nThink of
  a theme or subject you’d like to focus when creating your cyanotype. It
  can be about anything (within reason and decency!)\nPlease bring with you
  objects that can be placed on top of a A4 sized sheet of paper. Feathers\
 , leaves\, cut out shapes work well. Solid object will be seen as a defini
 te solid shape\, whereas translucent objects will be seen as a ghostly ima
 ge.\n\nThe artist will have a selection of objects that can be used as wel
 l\, so if you don’t have anything to bring\, please don’t worry as we 
 have plenty.\n\nIn preparation you may want to watch this Youtube video o
 n how cyanotypes came to be\n\n&nbsp\;\n\nThe photo montage technique is a
  work of art in which pieces of paper\, photographs\, fabric\, typography 
 and ephemera are arranged and stuck down onto a supporting substrate. This
  can also include stitching and weaving using photographic images. This ar
 t form was made popular by such artists as Alexander Rodchenko\, Raoul Hau
 smann and Richard Hamilton.\n\nThink of a theme or subject you’d like to
  focus when creating your photo montage. It can be about anything (within 
 reason and decency!)\nPlease bring with you small objects\, photographs\, 
 prints\, newspapers\, magazines\, coloured paper/card\, handmade paper\, b
 ooks\, fabric\, paint\, threads (the list goes on and on….!) that you th
 ink will aid your theme.\nYou’ll be working on roughly A3 sized paper.\n
 The artist will have a selection of paper and fabric-based materials to us
 e as well\, so if you don’t have anything to bring\, please don’t worr
