 re you ready to race?  We’re delighted to announce the Burnley Soapbox C
 hallenge - the first soapbox race to take place in the town since the famo
 us Boxing Day races on Hammerton Street - will be taking place next June.\
 n\n\nThis exciting new event on Saturday 12 June 2027 will see gravity-pow
 ered homemade soapboxes race down Manchester Road as part of the Burnley 2
 027 Year of Culture. Expect a day packed with creativity\, entertainment\,
  friendly competition and plenty of community spirit.\n\n\nOrganised by Sc
 ott Dawson Advertising in partnership with Burnley.co.uk\, Burnley Council
 \, Burnley BID and Culture Burnley\, the following are invited to build a 
 soapbox\, enter a team and become part of Burnley’s history:\n\n\n Busin
 esses\n Schools &amp\; Colleges\n Sports Clubs\n Charities\n Community Gro
 ups\n\n\nEven better\, 100% of entry fees will be donated to Healthier Her
 oes\, Blaze and Burnley Youth Theatre\, supporting the incredible work the
 y do across our community.\n\n\nSponsors are also needed to get behind wha
 t promises to be one of Burnley’s biggest and most talked-about events\,
  offering fantastic exposure while supporting three worthy local causes.\n
