DESCRIPTION:\n\nThe Big Burnley Walk is Back - New Start Location and New R
 outes!\nDiscover the hidden gems of our borough’s stunning networks of f
 ootpaths and walking routes. With exciting new routes to explore\, it’s 
 the perfect opportunity to immerse yourself in the beauty of Burnley's #Ou
 tdoorTown.\n\nAnd the best part? It's completely FREE to take part!\n\nS
 tarting and finishing at Offshoots Community Garden\, Towneley Park Burnle
 y\, there will be the option of 3 routes.\n\n1. Short Stroll - A family fr
 iendly route (3-4 miles). Route will be led by a walk leader and provided 
 closer to the event date.\n2. Medium Meander (8 miles). Route can be foun
 d here.\n3. THE Big Burnley Walk (13.5 miles) Route can be found here.\n\
 nMaps with brief written instructions will be provided on the day. The rou
 tes are self guided\, so reasonable navigation skills will be needed. Ther
 e will be a tail walker for each route to ensure no-one is left behind.\n\
 n 	FREE to enter.\n 	No age restrictions. A reminder that children under t
 he age of 16 must be supervised throughout.\n 	Well behaved dogs on leads 
 welcome.\n 	Toilets available in Towneley Park.\n 	Pay and Display parking
  available throughout Towneley Park.\n 	3 Route options.\n\nFor more detai

 m 8:30am/Registration from 8.50am\n\n 	9.30am - Long Route "Big Burnley Wa
 lk" departs.\n 	9.45am - Medium Meander departs.\n 	10.15am - Short Stroll
  departs.\n\nAs this is an outdoor event\, participants should be dressed 
 appropriately for the weather and wearing suitable footwear. It is recomme
 nded that you check the weather on the day of the event and bring spare wa
 rm clothing\, waterproofs\, sun cream etc.\n\nAlthough this is a self guid
 ed route\, all participants will need to register and the event team will 
 be waiting to check all particpants back in at the end of their walk. We a
 sk all participants to contact the event team if they do not plan on retur
 ning to to the start/finish location. More details on how to do this will 
 be provided in pre event comms and on the day.\n\nCancellation\nThe event 
 will only be cancelled if there is a severe weather warning in place or fl
 ooding to the route. The decision for cancelling will be made for 8am on t
 he day of the event and you will be notified via email if this is the case
 .\n\nIf your plans change and you can no longer attend\, please cancel you
 r booking and/or let the event organisers know prior to the event start. T
 his will make the check in and registration process on the day much easier
