Burnley’s Jubilee Celebration

As you are probably aware, The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee is fast approaching and activities will be taking place up and down the country to mark this momentous occasion.

Burnley is going to be no different and there will be a special event taking place on Saturday 4th June in the town centre to celebrate.

Here’s what will be taking place throughout the day from 10am-4pm:

  • The warrior Britannia will be roaming the town centre
  • A Bagpiper will perform throughout the town centre
  • There will be a royal photo opportunity in the town square featuring a throne, sceptre, corgi and red & white confetti
  • A Union Jack theme in Charter Walk as well as a picnic area
  • A town centre march by the Pendle Sons of Ulster (12pm-1pm)
  • Performance by the Burnley Alliance Silver Band
  • 1940’s style band in Charter Walk
  • Appearance from a Princess

What’s more, the Burnley Artisan Market will also be happening on the day too on St James’s Street and in Charter Walk so make sure you don’t miss out!
